Maui, Hawaii

My parents, Grandma Candee, Grandpa Jim and I went to Maui on July 14th. We all had a great time. My mom and Grandma had so much fun that they didn't want to come home. I think my mom just didn't want to come home and unpack from our vacation and work on unpacking our new house.

Moving Day

Our big move took place on July 11th with the help of many friends and family. My parents rented a HUGE U-Haul truck that they were able to nearly fill three times!

Surgery

On Wednesday, July 8th (my 9 month birthday) I went to St. Vincent Hospital to have tubes put in both of my ears. I have had five ear infections since February and a few were double infections. Dr. Snyder and my parents decided that it was time for me to get tubes and start feeling better.

My First Fourth of July

To celebrate my first 4th of July we went to some friends house to have a BBQ and fireworks show. Mom helped me with my very first sparkler by holding it for me to look at. I was mesmerized by all the bright colors. All the loud fireworks didn't scare me! I loved watching them 'pop' in the night sky.


All of the partying made me exhausted and I missed the end of our show.

On July 3rd my mom and dad celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. The weather was really nice so we had a picnic at the park and then I got to play.

July Already?!?

Can you believe that I will be 9 months old in five days? I know that my parents can't believe at how fast I am growing up. I am going to have tubes put in my ears on my 9 month birthday so I don't have to be sick every month. This should help me be happy on our flight to Maui on the 14th.

My mom has been so busy the past few months that she has not been able to tell you about me. My parents put our house on the market in May and it sold in less than two weeks. We are going to be moving to a house in the Portland area in less than a week! I will tell my mom to post pictures of the new house when she picks me up from daycare. My puppy and I are working on being friends. Right now Cayenne just likes it when I drop food on the floor. I have two bottom teeth and am learning to crawl. If I want something on the other side of the room I will roll to it.
